Jackie Judd

Jackie Judd is a former journalist who began her career at a tiny radio station in Concord, New Hampshire and went on to report for leading national news organizations including ABC News, The PBS NewsHour, NPR and CBS News. A second career in health policy communications took her to KFF (formerly known as the Kaiser Family Foundation) followed by a consulting practice that continues to this day. The connective tissue throughout her career has been a dedication to communicating with broad audiences about critical and complex issues.

Judd continues to be a participant at national health care events, serving as a moderator and interviewing national leaders. As part of her consulting practice, she has been a regular participant at the annual Aspen Ideas: Health festival and has also led conversations for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Camden Coalition, the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, among others.

Judd serves on the Board of Directors of the Josiah Macy Foundation, is chair-emeritus of the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation and is a member of the Nova Institute of Health journalism advisory board. Since moving to Madison, Wisconsin to be near family, Judd has dug into her new community. She serves on the boards of the Wisconsin Public Radio Association, the Madison Symphony Orchestra League and belongs to TEMPO, the professional women’s organization. She enjoys working with professionals as a coach to improve their own skills in presenting complex and important information.
